AGNSW - Nude
To celebrate the first arrival of Auguste Rodin's 'The Kiss' in the southern hemisphere, we used 3D scanning and printing to recreate the famous pose using seven couples from around Sydney. The project set out to investigate the power of nudity in art - and the way the naked form forces us to re-evaluate our own bodies. And the couples who participated reflected different ages, ethnicities, genders and sexualities - giving the classic sculptural work a contemporary relevance.
Featured in Creative Review and the Guardian, and the only Australian work selected for the Creative Review 2017 Annual.
